Merry Christmas!

Happy Christmas everyone! I really can't believe how quickly Christmas has come back around, and I honestly feel so excited to celebrate it this year. I'm back home now (in the middle of nowhere) and can't wait to catch up with my family and friends who I don't see nearly enough!

I have a whole week at home and I plan to spend it with my friends, family and LOTS of food! I have plans with some of the most wonderful people in the world, some I've known nearly all my life and some who I've only become friends with in recent years. Either way, I am so excited and feel incredibly lucky to have each and every one of them in my life.

This year has been incredible but at times seriously stressful, so for this week I'm going to put my feet up and eat ALL the cheese.

I love reading all your comments so leave me a message below! I hope you all have a wonderful day with your family and friends. Merry Christmas!

Wearing: A Very Christmassy Dress c/o Liberty Blue

So, I finally jumped on the pastel trend this season with this amazing boyfriend coat from River Island! I usually invest in darker colours for the Winter months, but I'm glad I went for something a little more adventurous this time. It definitely brightens up the grey and gloomy weather we're getting at the moment, and it still keeps me nice n' toasty! I was worried it might not go with much of my wardrobe, however that hasn't been too much of a problem considering I wear a lot of black. It looks really great teamed with a simple monochrome outfit, just like this cool two piece from Liberty Blue.

I love trying out new looks but I usually stick to a few key styles. For example, I don't think you can really go wrong with a good boyfriend coat or classic black and white. I don't really wear crop tops, so I had sort been avoiding the co-ord trend this year. However, I actually really do love this one! It covers everything but you can still clearly see that it's a two piece. I think it's the perfect way to work the co-ord trend into the colder months, or if you're just a little bit shy like me!

Anyway, I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Back To December

Holy moly I can't believe it's December already! My poor blog has been so neglected, my last post was a round up of my October favorites, yikes! To be honest, it's now Winter in Ireland and we only get about four hours of sunlight a day, so taking outfit photographs has proved rather difficult. I guess I just need to start making the most of the daylight while it's here! It might be getting darker and colder, but I really do love this time of year. I've always preferred dressing for the colder months and this season I just can't get enough of roll neck sweaters! I teamed my black Topshop sweater with this incredible midi skirt from Liberty Blue, which is perfect for keeping my legs warm!

I'm so happy the roll neck has made a comeback, what do you think of this trend? I think I want one in every colour...

Anyway, I hope you're all having a great week so far!

October Favourites

Hello there! It's that time again, oh how I do love a good monthly favourites post! I realise I haven't posted one in absolutely ages, but I thought maybe the start of the new season would be a good time to jump back in. I've got a little mix of hair a beauty products here - all from the high street. Please excuse the poor quality of my photos, I haven't had a camera for a couple of days so I've had to use my trusty ole iPhone!  I've linked all the products below so you can see where I got them:

As much I love trying out new products, I have been attempting to simplify my skincare routine as much as possible lately by cutting it down to a cleanser, scrub and moisturizer. Oh and maybe a face mask once or twice a week! I'm really loving the Botanics All Bright range right now, the scrub is nice and gentle and my face looks and feels so much better after just a few days. I've also swapped my foundation from a heavier liquid to a lighter matte foundation. The Clinque stay matte foundation has great coverage yet it still feels very light on my skin. I wear Linen 01 which is the lightest shade Clinique offer.

Next up, I treated myself to this incredible eye shadow pallete from No7 and I can't get over how nice it is! It includes 20 of the most popular No7 shades, from light to dark,10 matte and 10 shimmering. I just know I'm going to use up every single one of them! The palette itself is actually pretty huge, but still slim and light enough to slip into a handbag. I've already mentioned my love for the Bourjois Velvet Lipsticks, but hey, I'll say it again - these are hands down some of the best lipsticks I've ever used! The lipstick is very easy to apply, the colours are so vibrant and it stays on all day. Perfection!

Last but not least, the lovely Lily from Old Wives Tail sent me this gorgeous handmade organic hair treatment. I simply leave it in my hair like a hair mask (sometimes over night) and rinse it out. It takes my dry ends and leaves them feeling restored and silky smooth. It also smells incredible! I have also been using the Anti-Breakage Keratin Oil range (available in Boots) in my hair, and I can't recommend it enough. My hair feels healthier than it has in years and the bottles last for ages too. You can find out more about all the products Old Wives Tail by clicking here!

I hope you enjoyed reading about my October favourites!
What products have you been loving this month?

Sweater Weather

Happy Friday! My oh my, what a week this has been. You might have noticed that I'm trying to blog more than usual this month, because I really love it but feel like I don't pour as much time into it as I would like to.  College has been pretty hectic and I just started a new job, but I do really enjoy being busy and productive, especially after quite a lazy Summer! These photographs were actually taken a couple of weeks ago, on a very sunny Sunday. It was quite hot that day but I was far too excited about Autumn and I just really wanted to wear my roll neck jumper...

Anyway, just a short little post from me today. I hope you guys are enjoying more regular content on the blog, and if there is anything in particular you would like more of, please let me know!

Have a lovely weekend!

Blossoms In The Street

What's that? Another floral dress? Yup, it sure is! I picked up this shift dress from New Look a few weeks ago and I've been living in it ever since. I love that it feels so casual and comfortable on, while still packing a punch with the bold floral print. New Look is one of my favourite places to shop for clothes, especially at this time of year. I find that the quality is pretty decent for a few seasons and they do really good staples that I can mix with so many other things in my wardrobe. I actually bought this coat there recently too! It's so warm and cosy, just perfect for wrapping up on chilly days.

Anyway, just a short little post from me today. I hope you're all having a lovely week so far!

The View From The Afternoon

Hello and happy Sunday! I have been obsessing over this (faux) fur sole recently, it is such a fun piece that can be styled easily with so many things. I love wearing it with this old vintage tweed jacket that I've had for years. Speaking of things I've had for years, this saddle bag has been by my side for longer than I can remember and I just got it back from the repair shop after the strap came off. I'm so happy to be reunited with it!

As you can probably guess from my past outfit posts, I am a firm believer in florals all year round, and I'm not going to a let a little bit of cold weather get in the way of that! I really love dressing for Autumn, and at this time of year I tend to gravitate towards a darker colour palette. I absolutely love this floral print tea dress from Topshop and the plum, navy, forest green and orange colours are so perfect for Autumn. I actually bought this dress to wear to a wedding, but it's so comfortable and easy to dress down, I know I'll be living in it right through Winter too...

Anyway, I hope you've all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Knee Socks

Hello October! I am so ready for Autumn dressing but it just seems to be getting hotter and hotter here every day, it's crazy! These photographs were taken last weekend, and I wearing an over-sized coat with this outfit, but I felt like I was actually melting so I had to take it off. You can't really see my face in any of these, but at least you can see my cute dress! I love wearing over-the-knee socks under tights, just to make an outfit a little more interesting. Knee socks can be tricky to pull off and sometimes I don't like flashing too much skin, so popping a pair underneath some tights is a great alternative.

Will you be wearing knee socks this season?

I hope you all had a lovely start to your week!

That's Not A Skirt Girl, That's A Sawn Off Shotgun

Hello there! These days it feels like I'm always starting my blog posts off in the same way and today is no exception. I've been a bad blogger again! The past few weeks have been so hectic and filled with lots of big changes. All good thankfully, however I've barely had a moment to get a blog post up. Now I'm feeling a bit more settled and will be able to write as much as I want, which is great!

In love with this outfit I picked up in New Look recently, it has a cool 60s mod vibe which I can't get enough of!

Anyway, just a little post from me today. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Into The Trees

Two things that never get old: All black err'thang and cute little polka dots! If you read my last couple of posts, you will know that I am fully embracing the transition from Summer to Fall. The leaves on the trees might still be green but I can't resist shopping for the new season. This week has been incredibly hectic with going back to class, which I'm sure many of you understand!

I hope you're all having a great week so far! Are you excited for the new season? Let me know in the comments section!

This Old Thing

It's official: I've made the transition from Summer to Autumn dressing. The jumpers are out and the hats are on! I'm still trying to sneak a little bit of Summer into my outfit with this pink floral midi skirt from New Look, but I may as well throw my hands up and admit defeat now.

I hope you all had a great bank holiday weekend, I was surprisingly productive and spent most of mine redecorating. Hopefully you liked the last home-styling post I did, because I would love to do more of that kind of thing in the near future!

Have a great day!

Ready For Autumn

Hello there! It was so sunny today but I just can't but feel ready for the transition into Autumn! It's definitely my favourite season of them all, especially when it comes to fashion. I picked up this Check Dress from New Look a couple of months ago, with plans to hide it away until the colder months, but I just couldn't resist! Don't be fooled by this sunny-post though, I live in Ireland and it's usually freezing or raining, so I guess I'm lucky in a way as I get to dress for my favourite season all year round! I'm feeling a sort of back-to-school vibe at the moment, and I can't wait to pick up a few key pieces before heading back to university in September...

I hope you've all had a lovely weekend so far!

London Trip

Hello there! A few weeks ago my boyfriend and I went over to Kent for my sister's wedding, which was absolutely amazing! We stopped off in London first and it was super fun. We spent hours and hours roaming around the vintage shops, sipping coffee, and chilling with cats. Unfortunately, we were only there for a day, but I loved it so much, I can't wait to go back again and spend more time there. Next time I'l be heading over with an empty suitcase for sure!

I hope you've all have a lovely week so far!
