Review: Soap & Glory Once Upon A Lime

Soap & Glory Once Upon A Lime Gift Set (£18)

The Sugar Crush Body Buttercream is amazing! Body moisturisers are one of my favourite things and this one is no exception. I know I'm going to say this about all of these products, but it really does smell incredible! I love the fresh lime scent and it lasts for ages on my skin. The big tub also lasts for a really long time so it's well worth the money.

This Sugar Crush Body Wash will be great for travelling, as it's similar to Soap & Glory's Clean On Me which I use every day, however it's only a fraction of the size. It also smells amazing! The citrus scent leaves me feeling so fresh & clean. I would love to invest in a bigger bottle of this when my Clean On Me runs out.

The Sugar Crush Body Scrub is described as a smashed down sugar scrub with a fruity lime fragrance that blends sweet lime oil and almond oil with macadamia grains and glycerin from smashed brown sugar. Well, there's a mouthful!

I think this product is my favourite from the set. It exfoliates the skin and leaves it feeling really soft, while still being gentle. This is great as my skin is quite sensitive. It also smells amazing! I am definitely going to invest in a bigger pot. For only £8 I'll consider it a bargain!

Thank for reading, I hope you are all having a lovely weekend so far!

I would love to know, what are some of your favourite Soap & Glory products?

Liebster Award

Hello everybody, I hope you're all having a lovely weekend! The wonderful Ellis from Strawberry Lace has been kind enough to nominate me for the Liebster award. (Thank you so much!) Now, you might be wondering what this is all about, to be honest I wasn't sure either, but I soon found out after visiting Strawberry Lace's blog.

So the Liebster Award is basically a tag that is going around the blogger world right now. Each blogger nominates 11 other bloggers (who have less that 200 followers) and asks them to answer 11 questions. It's a really great away for smaller blogs just like this one to get noticed. A big thank you to Ellis for nominating me!

My questions to answer from Strawberry Lace.

1. What are three things on your wishlist for this month?
It's tough to narrow it down to just three! Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow! foundation from Benefit, Gingham Cigarette Trousers from Topshop and this lovely mug!

2. Who is your style icon?
I actually have so many! I love Alexa Chung, Anna Karina, Jane Birkin, or if I'm feeling like a tomboy, Kurt Cobain. I sort of take inspiration from everywhere. You know, from my favourite films to people that pass me by in the street. They're my style icons too!

3. Where would you love to go on holiday to?
New York City.

4. What is your favourite magazine?
Elle. I've been collecting it since I was 15.

5. What website do you buy most of your clothes from?
Probably, ASOS. I'm also a recovering Ebay addict.

6. Vintage shops or High Street shops?
Vintage shops. Although it's harder to find a good gem these days.

7. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging in January 2014 after putting it off for a really long time. You can find out more about this here.

8. If you had 1 million pounds what would be the first thing you'd buy?
Honestly, I would buy my boyfriend the camera lens he has wanted forever.

9. What beauty item could you not live without?
Body moisturiser.

10. What clothing item did you regret buying within the last year?
Dark lipstick. Total disaster.

11. If you were given the chance to spend lots of money in only one high end brand which one would you choose?
The possibilities are endless! I think I would just buy a Chanel bag and be done with it.

My nominations:

Sorry if any of you have already been tagged!

My questions for you:

1. Where is your favourite place to shop?
2. What is your favourite film and why?
3. If you could steal anyone's style, who would it be?
4. Are there any current trends that you just can't get your head around?
5. What is your favourite skincare product?
6. If you could adapt a style from any TV show or film, which would you choose?
7. Which season do you prefer dressing for?
8. If you could sit front row at any fashion show, anywhere in the world, which would you pick?
9. What is your favourite book/magazine/website?
10. What was the last thing you bought?
11. What are your hopes for blogging in 2014?

Thanks again Ellis! x

A Wardrobe Update: January Picks

January can be a pretty tough month. It's absolutely freezing and if you're a student like me, you'll have assignments due and exams to sit. However, it's not all bad, the January sales are the best thing ever! To keep the post-Christmas blues away, I have treated myself to some wardrobe essentials, most of which I picked up in the sales.

5) MOTO Blue Black Joni Jeans - Topshop £36 (not in sale)

Another Day Another Collar

The collar has become a bit of a wardrobe staple for me as of late. I've noticed that almost all of my outfits include one, I'm obsessed! From rounded peter pan styles to the classic shirt, I love them all! They can be found on tops, dresses, coats or you can buy stand alone collars to add a little something extra to any outfit. I think they work well from season to season because of the vintage vibe they add to an outfit.

My personal style has always been a bit retro and when I have my trusty collar added to my outfit, I feel like the best version of myself! Personally, I love to layer collar blouses underneath dresses or jumpers for winter; they also look great with skater skirts or on dresses during summer. I also think they look great alone or with a necklace layered underneath.

How do you like to wear your collar?

First post!

Hello! Welcome to my blog, A Stitch To Wear.

My name is Karen. I'm a twenty-two year old English Literature student from Ireland. I spend most of my time watching Netflix and wishing I could be a cat.

Writing is very dear to me and through this blog I hope to express my inner thoughts, my sense of style and the things that inspire me most. I have been planning  this blog for  quite some time now, thankfully I am now at a stage where I can fully commit to blogging and I can't wait to get started. I hope at that at least one person enjoys reading it!

My sense of style definitely reflects my mood and I often post pictures of my outfits on Instagram, however I'm now thinking that a few words to go along with the pictures might be a good idea. I hope you enjoy!

Here are some recent pictures of me - looking a bit creepy and weird.

Wearing: both outfits are from UO. I couldn't decide which one to buy but in the end, the skirt on the right won me over. No doubt I'll be back for the rest once my student loan comes in! Hairband: New Look. Bunny cover for iPhone 5: Amazon.
